Odour emissions reduced by more than 90%
The second key investment is the installation of another device in October 2019 to eliminate volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are emitted during the production of cereal beverages. Such modern and efficient devices, the so-called exhaust gas afterburners, are already installed on all three roasting furnaces. The new afterburners have reduced VOC emissions by more than 90% compared to previous devices.
Both installations – the filter and the exhaust gas afterburner – bring about a significant reduction of the dust and odours emitted into the atmosphere by our plant.
